From the Charlotte Observer: Home values are going up in Union County.
So are your taxes! It makes you laugh when reading about how people enjoy the rural life in Union County, NC. The rural life, at least in the western portion of the county is gone. Just take a drive down Providence Rd. Notice how the trees are disappearing. The fields are being graded and surveyed off. In one section they shaved off the trees, graded down a hillside and filled in a flood area that usually had 3 or 4 feet of flood water during the heavy rain season. Just about anywhere in the western portion of Union County new buildings are going up. I guess if you’re from LA or New York City it is rural, but if you’re from Union County you’re feeling pretty crowded about now.
