Can You Hear Us Now?

The Republican win in Massachusetts last night should send a wake up call to all democrat and republican politicians in Washington and state capitals across the country. We are tired of your out of control spending. We are tired of the good old boy network of buying votes. We are tired of bad mouthing America on foreign soil. We are tired of Washington politicians thinking they are the cure all of our problems. We are tired of the high unemployment numbers while the politicians in Washington continue to spend our tax dollars like there is no bottom to the barrel, then turn around and demand more.
Your job in Washington, in order of importance is, number one, protect America’s borders and its citizens, number two, create a climate for businesses to provide jobs and number three is everything else. Unless our citizens are protected from terrorists, none of the other stuff matters. Unless you focus on the business climate where people can work to support their families, nothing else matters.
This past year we have seen our unemployment go from 7.4% at the end of 2008 to 10.0% at the end of 2009. I don’t care whose fault it is. FIX IT! That’s why you were elected and what you are being paid to do. We can go back and waste our time playing the blame game later. Until the job situation is fixed and people are back at work in jobs they feel secure in, no tax credit or any other sales gimmick is going to bring the housing market back to anywhere near normal. No government program works anywhere near as efficiently as the people. This means government has to take a back seat. This country is in the hands of the people. Washington is nothing but a vehicle for the people to funnel their energy through. You work for us, not the other way around. At this point I don’t really care which party you belong to. If you don’t hear what we are saying, it’s time to pack you bags and go home.
